If you're working through the “Line in the Sand” quest in ARC Raiders Items, the “Find out who orchestrated the robbery” objective can be easy to overlook. The clue isn't located at the derailed train from the previous step. Instead, you'll need to travel a short distance east or northeast and search for a small lookout tower buried in the sandy area near the city. Once you know what landmark to look for, this part of the quest becomes much more straightforward.
Head Toward the Lookout Tower
After checking the derailed train, start moving east toward the city. Your destination is roughly northwest of the Piazza Roma map marker. The area can look fairly open, so it may take a moment to identify the correct structure. Keep an eye out for a small lookout tower that appears to be sticking out of the sand.
The tower is the key landmark for this objective. Rather than continuing toward the city itself, use the structure as your stopping point. If you pass it and travel too far, backtrack toward the sandy area around the tower and inspect the nearby surroundings carefully.
Search the Back of the Tower
Once you've reached the lookout tower, you need to get inside or around the rear section. Depending on the terrain and your approach, you may be able to mantle your way into the structure or climb into the back.
The important part is checking the corners instead of simply entering and leaving. The clue can be tucked away in an easy-to-miss spot, sometimes partially obscured by environmental objects. Look around bushes, nearby debris, and objects such as a plunger box if they are present in your instance.
Locate the Hidden Card
Inside the tower, search the corner for a hidden stash or interactable object. Interacting with it will cause the relevant clue to appear. This is the Marano Market Business Card, which may also be presented as a market blueprint depending on how the objective appears in your game.
Take your time when searching this area. The item isn't necessarily positioned in the most obvious location, and environmental clutter can make it blend into the surroundings. If you don't see it immediately, move around the back section of the tower and check the corners from different angles.
Secure the Quest Item
After obtaining the Marano Market Business Card, place it in your safe pocket as soon as possible. This is a useful precaution because dying before securing an important quest item can potentially force you to repeat part of the search.
With the card safely stored, you can move on without worrying as much about losing your progress during the remainder of the expedition. It's also a good habit for other quest-related objects that you don't want to risk carrying in your regular inventory.
Prepare for the Next Objective
Picking up the card immediately advances the quest and reveals the next task: “Find out where the thruster valves were stashed.” This means you don't need to return to the train or investigate the tower again after collecting the clue.
At this point, the robbery investigation has moved forward, so pay attention to the newly displayed objective before leaving the area. Keeping track of each clue as it appears will make the later stages of “Line in the Sand” easier to follow.
Finish the Investigation Step
The key to this section is recognizing that the solution is only a short trip from the derailed train. Head east or northeast, locate the sandy lookout tower northwest of Piazza Roma, search its rear corner, and collect the Marano Market Business Card. Once the card is secured, the quest automatically progresses toward the thruster-valve investigation.
